Shark catagory removed from rodeo.
Yep,due to worldwide overharvest, the ADSFR will not have dead sharks at the dock,it will be T&R. Richard Rutland, with the Mobile Jaycees said"we want to promote their conservation because they are so important to the food chain." Read the story in todays Mobile Press-Register.

That's funny. Apparently they do not make it down to the pier very often.

I am new to saltwater fishing and the pier. I have only been fishing here since last October. I am no expert but when you catch 3 sharks in less then 1/2 hour and while I am catching my three you see numerous others on the pier at the same time catching sharks, then I think it is safe to say that there is a shark problem at the pier and it has been like this pretty much this entire spring. I watched a couple of sharks last Wednesday swimming around in water less then thigh deep on the beach. Nobody was in the water that day (red flag). I understand you can't eliminate all the sharks but just to thin the herd a little bit would improve safety and fishing around the pier. Just my two cents. I doubt that the people that count in Montgomery subscribes to this forum.

And now they actually offer a good prize for it... who do I have to bribe for permission to anchor up next to the cleaning tables?

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
