seephead ?
new to the sheephead thing do they bite at night

I haven't fished for them at night but I've noticed they shut down quick as the sun sets.

I don't know of many fish that don't feed at night to some extent. That is not to say they all feed the same day and night. I have seen sheepies gnawing on pilings at night before and I would bet you could catch them. You may have to modify your tactics, it is worth a try. Just be prepared to experiment until you can get them patterned, even if the productive pattern is waiting for daylight.

I've never had much luck with them before the sun came up. They are sight feeders, so that makes sense.

thanks for the info they stop biting the last time i was fishing at dusk and i thought it was a day bite
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
