    See ya Alabama State Record

The Alabama State Record for Blue Marlin got smoked twice tonight! 789lbs then 845lbs! That's some serious action today.

The current state record is 779 pounds which was caught in 1989 by Marcus Kennedy.
I feel for the folks with the 789 ;-)

Yep, they probably feel about like Roger that day he lost 3 Cobes.
I think the 845.8#r will stand for a while. Of course, I also thought I could catch a Speck yesterday

Sails from any pier are rare, but happen elsewhere down the Panhandle. Has GSSP had a sail seen, hooked, or brought to the pier? Has there ever been a true offshore target like a wahoo, blackfin or marlin seen or hooked from the pier?

I know for sure of one sail hooked on the GSSP.

It's hard to believe that Alabama can't get a 1000lber on record all these years
