From updates, it looks like the guy returned it.
What troubles me more is the comments about people keeping fish/fishing for food are not "sportsman" or somehow on a lower rung that C/R fishers. Quite a distorted view of what fishing means to the wide range of people engaged in it.Carl

I felt the same way. Apparently a sport fisherman can only use one rod and returns everything he catches to the water.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
