A scintilla of hope
Hot diggety dog! I looked at the bouy report for the first time just now and the water temp is all the way up to 64. Reckon how long it's been since the fish have experienced this comfort zone? They'll be having hot flashes and erotic, steamy urges and I hope to take advantage of them tomorrow.
I just hope the rain doesn't cool things off too much. Also, I hope it doesn't keep everybody off the pier---I'm going to need somebody out there to net fish for me. When I got back from Mobile today, I just didn't have enough time to get loaded up and get out there. It would have killed me to get there for a super-short bite and have to live with the knowledge that it had been going on all afternoon.
Can't wait for the sun to come back out and bring the spring break cuties back to the pier (yes, I'm a sexist old reprobate, in case anyone is offended). I've been practicing keeping my smile down to Level #4 so that none of them will be emotionally damaged---in case you don't know, the Level #3 smile is where they start writing their phone #s on parts of my body, and Level #2 is where I start getting formal proposals---you get the picture. It's awfully distracting once the fish start biting and Patsy keeps reminding me that I'm already spoken for, and that in reality she is the only one speaking for me and that I just look like a ridiculous, fuzzy-eared, overweight, scaly-legged ARP member. Humph, little does she know---

Don't know why I didn't think of this before---tomorrow, I'll take a copy of Pier#r's chart that illustrates what kind of fish bite at what time of year and show it to the sheepshead swimming around the octi. Let 'em know they're way behind schedule. That oughta do it.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
