Save Our Cobia Petition Group...
Save our Cobia | Petition to Change Current Cobia Regulations
Save Our CobiaThe Save Our Cobia Petition has been created because numerous anglers along the Northern Gulf of Mexico have come to the realization that our cobia, ling, or lemonfish, whatever you may call them, stocks are in trouble and that we need to acknowledge it and take action before it gets any worse.
For many years now it appears that we as a large group of fishermen continued to fish for and harvest an exceptional amount of cobia through the spring each year without slowing down to think about what we may be doing to our fishery.
By signing this petition, you are simply agreeing that something needs to be done. As our list of supporters grows we will reach out by email and ask for your opinion on what we should ask fishery management for when the time comes.

So happy to see this I see so many pics on this site of cobia with gafs through them I was beginning to think Noone cared about the over fishing problems we have in this day and age we need conservation or we won't have this or many other fish to catch in the future. Catch a trophy put it back to live and grow there is no need to keep every fish you catch I want my kids to one day be able to catch a trophy king, jack, cobia, grouper, sailfish, marlin but I'm afraid they won't be able to.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
