Saltwater lis. renewal
slap me silly! I did not realize that the saltwater lis. expired in Aug. even if you bought a yr lis.! That is the pits! Don't they offer a prorated lis.? I wanted the yrly lis. so I did not have to worry about buying one in the spring when I return for the summer. Thought I was being smart buying yrly so I would not dish out the big bucks for each trip I make to pier. I am heading to Nv. for the winter to spend time with oldest son and family. Will be back in Mar. When is the best time to be here in spring for the early fish runs?

Depends on how cold winter is.
Last year, the Spanish were fire in March, bull reds were running too.
Not so much this year.Carl

If your fishing is going to be limited to the pier only, just get a pier license, way cheaper.
Pier passes are good for one year from date of purchase. Have to fish 40 times during the year to break even.

You still have to have a saltwater lis. right? That is the catcher for me buying yrly SW the first of July, it expires Aug.? not sure of the date.
But yeah, didn't realize you could get yrly pass for pier. Would definitely be worth it if only 40 trips to break even, as I plan to fish more than that. lol...will be doing some charters here and there to break the streak of no fish caught by semi perm. angler. lol...Thanks for the info...Ssteve

Thanks for info. Guess that pier lis. is the way to go if that is all you do, but I like backwaters for fall. I like to get offshore from time to time & my son wants me to start flyfishing with him. Guess I shouldn't wait til last month to get lis.! LOL
Thanks again.Last edited by sralman308; 08-01-2013 at 11:04 AM. Reason: again thought it was personal msg..removed info

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
