Sail off P'cola?
Hey Pier, I saw you posted on facebook a photo of a sailfish... was it caught off the Pensacola pier recently?

Re: Sail off P'cola?
:-\
To be totally honest I'm not sure which one that was.
They have been caught from all the FL Panhandle piers recently, caught just off Ft. Morgan (re Jeff Dute @MR) and spotted from and just out from the GSPPier.
That's a 'bucket list' fish fer sure ;-)
:headbang:(RETIRED) mostly.

Re: Sail off P'cola?
Many of the sails seem to be popped off at the pier but not all. Certainly would be a thrill to even get a hookup, sort of like I dream of a tarpon hookup.

Re: Sail off P'cola?
Are the sails edible?
Yes - I know everything is - but is it something you would normally keep to eat like a king?

Re: Sail off P'cola?
Talking to a buddy of mine who had it before he said he would kill every one he ever catches. Apparently they are really good smoked.
