Rods from the field and stream shop

I've got a question about the rods shipped from the field and stream online shop. Can anyone tell me how they are shipped? Are they in the round tubes like you get from Cabela's, bass pro, and tackle warehouse? Or is it the triangular cardboard boxes that are shipped from places like Amazon? I've found the rods shipped in triangular tubes prone to breaking more often during the shipping process.

I think Field and Stream shipped in a rectangular box a couple of months ago. No damage but I agree the tubes are better.

Hmm... not sure I like that. I've only had one shipped in anything but round and it was okay, but my brother has had two out of three broken.

As one who has unboxed many a rod and combo from different shaped boxes and tubes at BPS, let me just state they all can be compromised if the wrong 'gorilla' gets ahold of it ;-) LOL

Just to update this, I contacted field and stream and they responded that their rods are shipped in "tubes." They didn't specify round tubes. For all I know, all are described as tubes, but there you go.

Oh and I won't be finding out which it is. Rod model I wanted was sold out so I ordered directly from the manufacturer, who also had rods on sale.
