Rod for specks and reds
Was wondering if anyone here has used the Batson Imb843, Ip843, or Sp843 to build a rod and how it performed? Looking for something that you can finesse a bait for trout but still have enough ass to put a 10+lb red in the boat fairly quickly

Havent gotten a chance to go by The rod room and shake them yet How did it handle large trout and reds? Just don't want to not have enough backbone if a big fish decides to eat. The person this is for is known to bring home several 7# + trout on a regular basis

The IP843 is a great blank for trout if your going to be throwing light weight baits, such as a shrimp and a hook, or small fin fish. The IP844 would be better for your hard baits and carolina rigs
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
