So very sorry to hear that he's not expected to make it out on the pier to see the renovation. Will be praying for him!

That's a heart breaker. Rick stays in my prayers, I will miss him greatly. Hoping that his pain ends and a new horizon of fishing opens up. I'm sure he'll be there with his Gotcha.

We talked a lot about the pier being closed and it coinciding with the pier closure. I visited with him late last week and I fed him a big mess of whiting and white trout we caught on our boat last week. He said it was Excellent. Rick never lost his lucid mind. It was amazing our fishing buddy display a level of peace and grace throughout his illness. He accepted his fate like the man he was. He surely missed the fun of standing on the rail and catching spanish and others. I'm thankful he saw me as his friend. What an honor to play a small part to make his life better. He's a veteran and career Air Force Master Sergeant. My buddy.

He will be missed. I have never seen anyone as skilled with a spoon. I will miss his sense of humor and that slow grin. A fine, fine man.

So sorry to hear he asked me couple years ago to get him 10 packs of the Cotton Cordell Spoons and at the time never could find them around Gardendale. He could sure catch Spanish on them. Praying for his Family.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
