Reply on what to do with remains

    Dear Bill
Our policy is that fish remains are to be thrown in a trash can. I'm sorry that you were told to take it with you, That is not and has never been the policy of Gulf State Park Pier. This issue has been corrected.
If you have any further problems or concerns feel free to email or call me anytime.

    Sincerely,

    Michael J Guinn

Carry this with you when conservation law enforcement stops you with fillets you cannot prove the length and species for. It won't help, but they will have a laugh while writing your ticket.

Seriously, this is something of an improvement, but only people with severe colds or hay fever will be able to fish near the cleaning stations.

[size=12pt] Please understand that the “The Fish Remains Disposal Issue” is not something that is coming from the pier staff. The pier staff works hard to provide us with an enjoyable facility to satisfy our Pier Fishing Addiction! People complain about all kinds of things, but don’t lift a finger to help.
Here’s an opportunity to get involved.

Re: Reply on what to do with remains

Up date: I spent part of yesterday afternoon and most of today trying to make sure that everybody was on the same page with this matter. It often happens that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.I just got off the phone with a enforcement officer about this, and he stated "If the State Park says it ok,then we will not have an issue with it.That the park is over the pier and we don't own the pier."That at this time they have not recieved anything on this matter. In other words I got political speak;***because they don't know which way to go on this.***I am still planning to go to the meeting;if this works out,we still need the griders up graded and put back in.The regs are so screwed up;they need to be redone,so everyone, knows what the *ell is going on.. .
    GET THE GAFF!
