Replacing hooks
I'm about to start replacing the treble hooks on my lures that need it and was wondering if putting split rings on gotcha plugs would give a positive or negative impact on the action of the lure? And what size split rings should I use?

It would probably increase the number of leader to hook tangles to deal with IMHO

I tried it and it was a mess , as #r said it tangled with the leader and the action was terrible , There's a YouTube video on how to rebuild
tham and it's not that difficult , that would be the time to replace the hooks , I did once to see how hard it would be and it's not .
But buy the time my hooks are shot so is the rest of it , Remember to rinse them off like your rod and reel and they'll last longer .If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
