    Replacing hooks

I'm about to start replacing the treble hooks on my lures that need it and was wondering if putting split rings on gotcha plugs would give a positive or negative impact on the action of the lure? And what size split rings should I use?

It would probably increase the number of leader to hook tangles to deal with IMHO

I tried it and it was a mess , as #r said it tangled with the leader and the action was terrible , There's a YouTube video on how to rebuild
tham and it's not that difficult , that would be the time to replace the hooks , I did once to see how hard it would be and it's not .
But buy the time my hooks are shot so is the rest of it , Remember to rinse them off like your rod and reel and they'll last longer .
If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!
