    Reliable tide chart?

Anyone have a link to a tide chart that is fairly accurate?

I have no idea how accurate it is....but it at least looks official with lots of neat info.

    Indeed :headbang:
I find the MR tide calendar the best around by far.
Keep in mind though the times posted are for Ft.Gaines.

Thanks....I'm trying to get back into fishing atleast monthly and need basic info like tides...I've been too busy to do much more than 3 trips in 2 yrs and I live here in Gulf Shores...This year I'm gonna put some folks off and put the fishing on the front burner...Nothing like the sound of a drag screaming over the sound of waves.

If anyone has a smart phone, there is an app called marine weather pro. It gives you up to date reports on tides and current weather conditions. It costs $3, but well worth it.

I'm too cheap to get a smart phone...I still use the old flip phone.

    FIFY

Pretty nifty. Lots of useful data layers: Weather forecast, live weather, tide predictions, sun rise/set, radar, sea temp

Provides tide data for GS ICWW and Bon Secour River, Alabama Point, Weeks Bay, Ft Morgan, Dauphin Island, and hundreds of others for other locations.

Hmmm. Looks like the app tide for Alabama Point and the Outdoor Alabama tide for Perdido Pass are about 2 hours apart but it matches the Tides4fishing exactly

This might be a stupid question but that's never stopped me before....
Is the tide measured at the Gulf Shores ICWW the same as the tide on the beach? oke1:
    Screw it. Let's ride.

    Re: Reliable tide chart?

Here is a list of the tide prediction sites NOAA uses for all it's tide projections in Alabama
    http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/tid....shtml?gid=226

Note that many are Subordinate stations. Those and any other observations from other sources are based on mathematical calculations derived from the primary or "reference" stations.

This site has some neat plots of observations overprinted with predictions.
    A GREAT planning tool :headbang:
