Reel Size 4.0?
I inherited several large Penn reels/rods and i just purchased a Okuma 65abf. how do i know if the reel is to large for pier regs? I just want to abide by the rules and enjoy some fishing.

nobody will really pay attention to your reel size....... although i think that in the rules it says you cant use a 4.0 on the pier.

There is no rule against spinning reels of any size so your Okuma is fine. The Penns should say what model they are on the reel somewhere. I think the point of the rule is to discourage sharkin'.
