Red Fish Question
I know the limit on Red Fish is 3 a day and the slot is 16” to 26” any you are allowed 1
fish over the slot. My question is do you have to have a fish in the slot before you can keep
a fish over 26”?

No. You can catch a 30" red and keep him, but then the rest of your catch has to be in the slot. It happens quite often this way, or maybe the one over is all you'll get.
happy fishing!

I suggest you to catch a 30" rod and keep him with the rest of your catch has to be in slot.

Those big reds, especially the one from the bay, have a tendency to look a lot like a can of noodle soup when they are opened up
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
