Thread: quality reels?

Does anyone know about fin~nor reels?quality or junk?

They are very heavy but they seem to hold up pretty well. Pescador has one he fishes and seems to like pretty good. Don't see very many used on the pier, so probably won't get a whole lot of response on here. Check out some of the reviews on 360tuna.com

If you are just looking for a good large reel for the pier, a good Penn 850ssm will take pretty much any fish on the pier, and so will the 760 slammers or Shimano Spheros or Stradic work well too.

Yeah I've never fished one either, but have a BIL who has owned some (the FS50 I believe) for several years.
He uses them primarily for inshore speckled trout fishing around DI and he likes them.

It looks like the FS70 has enough line capacity for king fishing.
