Possible IGFA Record for a Young Mobilian... Our Sports Future with a Huge Smile
Crevalle Jack
Angler Leigh Chapman Rogers of Mobile, Alabama, USA, caught an impressive 11.68 kg (25 lb 12 oz) crevalle jack (Caranx hippos) on July 30th, while fishing Dauphin Island, Alabama with her father, Mike Rodgers.
Leigh, age 10, fought the big jack for nearly 30 minutes after it ate the menhaden she had on for bait, possibly qualifying her for a Female Smallfry world record.
The current IGFA record is 10.79 kg (23 lb 12 oz).

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.

That is awesome!
Got to carefully watch those class records--especially the small fry.
Great job, Ms. Leigh Rogers.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
