Pompano from West Beach surf
A good friend of mine and his son-in-law both caught a nice pompano yesterday afternoon from the beach on cut fresh dead shrimp. I don't have a pic of the other one. They caught a few baby jacks and a remora as well. I sent them to J&M a few days ago for bait and tackle and it looks like they got them the right stuff.

Well not exactly. He kept texting me pictures and asking me to identify their fish AFTER they let them go. I'm stuck up here at home in North Alabama so I couldn't have eaten them anyway. I may hit someone up to filet a couple of fish for him if they get lucky and catch any more pomps.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
