Pompano Jigs
Bass Pro has some Offshore Angler Pompano Jigs. What colors & size (1/4 or 1/2 oz) do you recommend for the surf?

Pink, or combination with some pink.....white/pink?
Weight would depend on current and wind, and how far your wanting to cast, unless sight fishing.....1/4,3/8,1/2or even 3/4.....line size is a determening factor too for jig weightBill..............

Pink, and pink, and a little bit of white...with pink thread
Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

Female sandfleas have an orange egg sack under the belly as do ghost shrimp, both of which are prime pompano food.

I got these from a lady in Fla. She makes some great looking jigs - for pomp and cobia. Those of us that must bare an eternity between trips to paradise receive a little solace from well spaced orders for fishing stuff. It helps pass the time, and prompts peaceful dreams of tight lines and clear surf. I'll ask her to add some orange to the next order - do you think color on the skirt - or just orange thread?

I used to buy these before I started making my own.

Not to discourage you from buying these but I have had better success with a "Goofy" style jig on a 5" loop in tandem with a teaser fly. I like pink/white with a yellow-chartruese teaser and a yellow/white jig with pink teaser. Tipping the jig with a sandflea or shrimp can be effective too. I can't find them in orange or I would buy them. Good luck.

Sounds like pink is the color. I will see if they have pink.

If they're out of pink, try painting the heads on the ones you can get with pink nail polish, especially the Hard as Nails brand.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
