Pier update
The weather is so nice lately and cant fish. Can anybody tell me the status of the inspections or hasn't anybody got of their behinds to do anything yet. Watch by the time summer gets here they will then decide to repair the pier and waste the summer away repairing when they can do it now. Do something. Please.

Lamar said the Divers had been down checking what was left but didn't say what they had found. I believe the pier is on the bottom of the list as far as Park Projects to be reopened.

Drove by yesterday parking lot full of pallets and construction trailers still there. Looks like next year to me.

Not personally directed towards you, but we need a "don't like" button.
I will have to admit, after a trip to GS for a haircut today, I was amazed how much remains to be done on back streets as far as picking up debris is concerned. They do have their hands full.People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

The state park has reopened most of the other venues and accesses.
They are hoping to reopen the campground November 1 if that tells us anything.
Maybe after the campground reopens we may see some movement at the pier?

I'm talking about the Park I saw the other day they were finishing up relining the pool at the campgrounds. Do we really need all the trails and walkways through the park open for the Winter and I saw they are closing the road around Lake Shelby to repair the Bike track. Just saying it like I see it the Pier is at the bottom of the list.

Was in the Gulf Shores area all last week. From Orange Beach to Fort Morgan, I was amazed at the amount of work being done. Drove by the pier every day no vehicles in the parking lot. Not a thing being done.

As much as I'd like to see the pier being worked on, I'm afraid the campground is the States #1priority. That's where the most income is from. I'm sure when that's complete the pier will be close behind.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
