pier tips
Howdy y'all,
never been to y'alls neck of the woods but i'm coming over the second week of august to fish off the pier. what is gennerally biting that time of year and where is the best place to catch fish off the pier? i've got 3 kids that want to catch fish. i've never fished in anything other than lakes. Any pointers you can share would be helpful.
thanks

Hey RR, welcome. The search feature on "tips" may help you some. Though it is salt water, medium spinning tackle will catch "fish". A basic Carolina rig with live shrimp from J&M tackle would catch something. If you are at j&m anyway, ask them what is biting. If the kings or reds are still around, some larger spinning tackle would help. A sibiki rig would catch fish like hardtail. Quite a pull. Watch what others are doing to catch fish. Good luck.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
