Pier and Sand Cart
Anybody have any thoughts on this cart from Amazon? For the price I have concerns on the quality. Currently I just use a folding wagon but I'd like to get something more functional. I just don't want to spend too much as I only get blessed with one trip down per year.

I ordered one for a friend of mine when I was still working since we had a account with Big Rock Sports , Sea Striker is one of their " House " brands
The only thing I didn't like was its made of Steel so rust will be a problem and the hard plastic tires are like the ones on a kids bigwheel toy.
For 39.00 more you can get a similar one for Angler's Fish-N-Mate that's aluminum and rubber tires . Me I'd go for the aluminum one .If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!

It'll be just fine... Just keep it rinsed off after use. maybe some wd40 on the axles, bolt area/joints.
edit** as jollymon said, the alumnininininum is the way to go for longterm..
You can do like me and use it for transporting things around the yard(flower pots, garden plants, deer corn, dog feed, beer kegs....Last edited by Mr. Cleland; 09-04-2018 at 12:18 PM.

I have that same exact cart. It's pretty good if you plan to just use it on the pier but be prepared to feel like you're hiking thru mud that's 5 feet deep if you bring that thing onto the beach/surf. I'm gonna upgrade mine soon cause it's almost torture if you want to surf fish with it. Rust definitely a problem.

I do primarily plan to fish the pier but I do want something that would be functional for occasional surf fishing. Right now I use one of the folding carts but I'd like to get something a little better.

The Offshore Angler cart at BassPro is what I purchased on our last trip down. It’s close to $100 cheaper than comparable carts (I.e. the large Reels on wheels or fish-n-mate models). Its design has true square corners for full inside dimensions, in fact my 125 Yeti will fit in it. 1”x2” dimension floor stock vs 1”x1” other brands, foam filled tires (flat free) and even a flip down tailgating... why, I still haven’t figured out. ONLY drawback I have experienced- doesn’t come with a caster for the front, but can be added easily.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
