Pier fishing at night
Hi wanted to ask about fishing the pier at night. The man I talked to at the bait store said it was slow at night. Don't the lights attract the bait fish, and predictors?

When I was there last year we caught hardheads, look downs and some other fish. In the shallows people were catching the occasional speckled trout.

I've caught shark and numerous redfish at night on cut bait as well as speckled trout in the shallows. Unfortunately, you will catch both sail cat and hardheaded cats mixed in and sometimes skates and rays, but it keeps the action going...sure don't have to fight for a spot on the rail though!

As a newcomer last year the night fishing was nice because it was a lot less crowded but we were still catching a lot of fish. It was just too bad most weren't palatable.

I have had a few good nights with croakers and white trout.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
