Check with the park to see if they rent boats. I am pretty sure they have canoes.

Pier fishing? Check the reports, but the short version is its summer dog days......

The Adventure Center has kayaks for rent:

    21101 State Highway 135
    Gulf Shores, Alabama 36542
    Phone: 877-947-8434 - 251-948-9494

    info@gulfadventurecenter.com

    Rental Rates

    Single Kayak
    1 hour - $10 plus tax
    4 hours - $30 plus tax
    8 hours - $45 plus tax
    Double Kayak
    1 hour - $18 plus tax
    4 hours - $42 plus tax
    8 hours - $62 plus tax

I would call ahead and make reservations this time of year because of the volume of people here at the present time. I'd hate for you to plan a kayak day trip and they're completely booked up.

not many people fish lake Shelby. But you can catch some slot reds and specks and Monster Bream on a Fly rod there. good luck
