Pier Fisherman Catches FREE Fishing TRIP
Hey everyone. I grew up fishing the GSP. I would normally post this in the out of area section, but I figured alot of people on this forum would appreciate these videos. I decided to change gears and do something totally different for my YouTube Channel. I surprised a couple of Tampa Bay locals at the Fort De Soto fishing pier with an offer they couldn't refuse. Here's what happened.....

That was cool Joe!
It was easy to tell those guys were stoked to get the opportunity!!
Kudos to you and your sponsors, and thanks for sharing with us.
There may well be some of these kinds of trips during the 2 month GSPPier refurbishment closure starting May 10th...

I have a great big smile just watching these guys.
What a great promotion and beautiful, and FISH too!Ragnar Benson:

Many years ago ( about 30) I was staying for a week at a beach house near Fort Morgan. My son and I were fishing a couple of hours on the beach every morning beginning at daylight and were doing very well with the Pompano. There was a man who had stopped by and talked with us a couple of mornings and I think i asked him if he would like a pompano or two for him and his wife. He said that he had a house on the bay side near the fort and had plenty of fish. About the fourth morning on the beach this man showed up. He said that his fishing/diving buddy had called at 3am and cancelled on him and he had the boat loaded and ready to go but would not go out alone and dive. He was looking for someone to go with him and after his dive we would fish around some of the oil rig platforms for awhile. My son used to be in the coast guard and said he would look over the boat good and if it looked safe we would go. The man made one dive of about 45 minutes and then we fished a rig or two for about 3 or 4 hours. He had a large ice chest on the boat with plenty of ice and we filled the chest up with several kinds of snapper and many very large spade fish and trigger fish. Back then there were no limits on these fish and many charter boat captains did not even keep trigger fish because they were harder to clean. I knew how good they were and how to clean them so I was happy to have them. The man gave us all the fish and thanked us for going with him and of course we thanked him in return and offered to pay for the fuel but he refused.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
