    Perdido Pass West Rock Jetties

Can anyone tell me if you can still get access to the West Rock Jetties at Perdido Pass? Can you still park East of Grand Point Condos? Thanks

    Yes & yes
The fence at the west end of the jetty has been repaired though
    (RETIRED) mostly.

I haven't ever ventured out ON the jetty, I'm fat, lazy and it's a long walk. Which side do you catch the most sheepshead? The pass-channel side or the beach side? Do you bottom fish or try to use a slip float. I've only fished the seawall and just suspended a fiddler crab and had limited success. I have seen a video of a charter boat fishing the beach side and bottom fishing with live shrimp.

I know its a long walk but it can be worth it at times. Didn't make it out there last year, brought a kayak down instead. I usually do better on the beach side. I bottom fish with a slip sinker with live shrimp either cut in half or used whole. Also fiddlers when you can get them. I will also use a float at times to change things up. Good Luck to you and be careful if you make the walk!!!
