    Perdido Pass/Surf Fishing

What's going on guys and gals? Ill be down beginning Oct. 7th for a few days and want to fish a little bit. I wont be able to make it to the pier so limited to surf fishing and possibly try out Perdido Pass. Any info on whats good to use in these locations that wont break the bank. Ive use gotcha plugs last year in the surf. Not really trying to catch a certain type of fish, just want to fish and have fun. Thanks for any info!!

Just expand your lure selection a bit from what you have already learned and been successful with.
The cheapest additions would be to throw a Bubble Rig or a 5/8 ounce white leadhead jig (Looney Jig or similar).

Try the topwater Bubble Rig first, then the Gotcha (for the middle depths, then throw the Looney jig (or a pair of them on an offset heavy mono leader) and jig it up off the bottom.

That area should be loaded with ladyfish ("skipjack"), bluefish and blue runner ("hardtails") about then.

    Hope this helps!

Around the jetty, you can get into some small jacks and other various fish with small topwater poppers and jerkbaits (just get the ones in the cheap bins. They work fine). In the surf, I like spoons, rooster tails, and shrimp on the bottom. Will catch more jacks, whiting, etc.
