    perdido pass help

When I fish the pass on the Florida pointe I like to walk all the way down to the area with the small jetty and fish there and it works but I'm only catching like 3 whoring and one harshest within 3 hours should I fish on the right of the Rocks or closer to the bridge wanting to go Thursday and when I fished yesterday with a double drop with fresh peeled shrimp and a small piece of shrimp fishbites anything wrong with that setup for whiting

The double drop rig is not usually the best choice. It is not stealthy at all and is usually geared for tourists and larger baits. It doesn't allow the bait to flow freely. You'd be better off with a Pompano rig which is similar but with lighter mono line. Fresh dead in small 1/2" pieces is bait of choice.
And if you fish just to the east 100-200' from the jetty, I think you'd have better luck.

fshntime is right about being east of the rocks at Perdido. Haywire has a secret spot somewhere east of those rocks. Double dropped rigs, as far as I know, are for still fishing. Single hooks rigs, like a Carolina or jig, is what we use for cast and retrieve. Or as it is also called " hauling water by the string full ". And you can make your own double drop rigs with fluorocarbon leader that looks store bought and works much, much better than store bought. I learned that all by my self by reading a post from somebody on this here forum.

This is a very stupid question, but which side is the east side.
Go Vols, I don't mind Nick Saban, but Lane Kiffin just bends the rod too much.

Just in case you aren't joking: If you are looking south, east is on you left. On maps it's the right side.

The "Florida" side is the east side. If you are on orange beach and you don't cross he bridge you are on the west side. Crossing the bridge, you are on the east side.

Also, the sun rises in the east most days, just be there before sunup and you will figure it out.
