Penn
Hi everyone, I bought two penn fierce combos in 8' med light and spooled them up with Ande 16# line. Does this sound like a good outfit ? And does anyone have any thoughts on the fierce line from Penn?
thanks Bear

I have a fierce 6000 on a 7 1/2 foot med action rod that I have killed a few kings with and have not had any issues with. I always rinse mine out good and spray them with reel magic after use. Good reels for the money if only using them occasionally and not wanting to spend a ton of money on gear.

Thanks, I should of ask first but I didn't know about this board before I had already got them. I know most stuff Penn makes is pretty good and I will only use about once a year so didn't want to spend a lot.

Hey, man, it's Penn, you can't really go wrong with Penn, I don't like the pursuit, but that is the only Penn reel I don't like. Penn is the best reel company there is...........
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

This is true, it's the rod that worries me more then the reel. The price of the combo vs. the price of the reel the rod is worth about 20 bucks. I guess if the rod is junk I can always find a good one down there

I miss typed it is a med/heavy rod I was thinking wrong
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
