I haven't been there in a few weeks but during the entire construction process there has been plenty of parking to your immediate right, just before the bridge.

You can see them on Google Earth. Look like schools of fish to me. I don't know what would have been schooling on 1/30/2015, but I would caution that Google Earth's dates are not that reliable. 1/30/2015 May be a general date for the area and that particlular pic may be from some other time.

EDIT: There are a lot of those schools between the inlet and the pier. Just east of the pier the date changes to 2/12/2015, the schools are not there and the wind shifts from SE on 1/30 to SW on 2/13, so maybe the date is good.

Sure would like to know what those schools were.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

    Most likely sardines ("red minnows").
Zoom in all the way and you can see pelicans swimming/diving on them.
That would draw a LOT of predatory fish in warm water but not much around in mid winter.

So both ends of the pass are open for fishing?
