Panama City Beach
I know this is a Gulf shores site, but PCB isn't that far away really, and some of you guys may be familiar with it.
Do any of you here know any good spots to fish (from the bank or wading out) for redfish, trout, and maybe a chance at my first flounder around PCB? I will be in PCB on September 12th, and while I do have a few decent spots in mind, they really haven't produced the last two times I have visited PCB.
PM them to me if you like, and I will share my spots if you don't know of them as well.
Any help is really appreciated at this point.

Used to fish the jetties at St. Andrews Park and caught a lot of big redfish there. In-laws stayed in camp grounds and I had the combination to the gate. I could pick up my father -in-law and be on the jetties at daylight and would leave when it got hot. Only problem Florida isn't as generous as Alabama and the ones we caught were always over the slot limit.

Only time I fished PCB was on the County Pier and I caught several keeper flounder around the mid section on live shrimp(bull minnows were non existent in PCB). An older gent was there 2 days in a row out fishing me using 5"-6" dead cigar minnows and an octopus style hook. I'm still baffled to this day how he did it. St. Andrews jetties should be good since most of the swimmers will be gone by now. Good luck

I have never caught any redfish from the jetty this time of year, but I'm sure some of the big bull reds are there. The only thing I catch around the jetties are spanish, jacks, grouper/snapper, and maybe a small kng.
The Hathaway bridge has produced in the past, but it is hit or miss.
I have had my best luck in Burnt Mill Creek out of my kayak, but I won't have my kayak with me this time.
What are some artificial lures you guys use to catch reds and flounder?
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
