Optimism
OPTIMISM (op-tuh-miz-m) noun
Going to BassPro in Nashville today to buy hooks, swivels and leader wire to start tieing
leaders for vacation in SEPTEMBER.....Especially when the daily "Fishing Reports" for the
month of June, except for those just titled with the month and day, have been "Mud, grass, big
swells and north wind", "Pretty dismal start", "Nothing special" and "Stay in bed".
I think the last two things Gen. Custer said were "Tomorrow will be better" and Charge!!!
Really though it will turn on one day and Katey bar the door!
Still nothing better than enjoying part of a rare day off thinking about the pier, fishing
and the folks that make it such a pleasure!

Not exactly encouraging, is it? I have been trying to get ready for a 'first' trip in August, too. It is fun to piddle in the shop, making jigs and leaders but hope the prep isn't the highlight.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
