Old Pier vs New Pier
This image really makes you realize the huge improvement in the new vs. the old pier.
The image is post-Isaac with the exact location of the old pier drawn on it.

Re: Old Pier vs New Pier
:headbang: cool graphic Carl!
Sure puts it all in perspective.
I remember seeing something similar in the schem drawings and I was like ??? 8)

Based on those drawing I made up this rendering in 2007 (not too far off the result ;-)

Nice photo-rendering. I'm not quite that fancy!

Re: Old Pier vs New Pier
I sure miss the old where I fished first coming down and got my passion for the salt water.....always wishing it was longer where I (we) would see all the fish busting the bait just past casting distance....with all that said ....what a heck of an improvement , and I love the new pier, that much more with so many quality fish being caught on the great...... chewing down the pier days :fishing: thanks for the pictures and memories to all !!!!!

Re: Old Pier vs New Pier
If I could just go back to 1980 something after the pier was rebuilt to be with my old friends, and if some of those same people could see the new pier.......Sorry if that makes no sense, but,oh well.....

Re: Old Pier vs New Pier
LOL
oh I understand what you meant...
Once I was trying to describe fishing the new pier to someone who had only fished the old and not even seen the new pier.
I told him "Remember when we used to stand on the end of the old pier and say
'IF ONLY IT WAS 100 YARDS LONGER.'
Well, now it's 200 YARDS LONGER!" :yippee: :headbang:(RETIRED) mostly.

Re: Old Pier vs New Pier
Not me...
hmmm, I see now it is uploaded to another fishing forum that you have to be a member of in order to view pics (and even posts).
So I suspect it is a 'permissions' issue for you.
Can ANYONE else see Carl's pic at the top?(RETIRED) mostly.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
