I'm truly going to miss Mr. Freiley. I just regret that I never got to fish with him one last time.

TUSCALOOSA James “Fritz” Freiley, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, died June 24, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile H. Freiley.

Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Deane Freiley and Elizabeth F. Jenkinson; and grandson, James Jenkinson.

Fritz served shortly in the Army, and his career was with Gulf States Paper. But mostly he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his daughters and friends. Family was very important to him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Hubbard, Daniel Hubbard, David Hubbard, Bart Pritchett, Randy McKinley, and Andy Patton.

Honorary pallbearers are James Vice, DCH staff and doctors at Trauma ICU, and all fishing buddies and friends.
