@ 23 oz it weighs the same as a Penn 704 (2 ounces more than a 706).
The line capacity is humongous compared to the next Okuma size down (CJ-65S)

But I know nothing ofthe drag and internals.

I have two of the okuma avenger 65's. One is the baitfeeder model and I sure wish they both were. Drag is excellent on both and these are their lower end models. Line capacity is a little higher on the baitfeeder. Just put 400 yds of momoi illusion 16# on it.

They have held up well so far but I don't fish everyday.

I have a couple and haven't had any issues with them. Drag is smooth on both.

Re: okumas good?

I have one (65), I love it ! The drag system is smooth as silk and it has a good retrieve ratio. I had a 45, however, I found it had problems with gears breaking in the retrieving handle with repeated catching of bigger fish, the drag was also inferior, it wound wear out after repeated use. But like I said the 65 is a great reel for the money.
