Officially Crossed the Hump! Let the count down begin.
This weekend we passed a milestone similar to the bi-annual passing of the sun. Our personal Equinox is the half way point on the calendar between our trips to our spot in paradise and we celebrate by posting the checklist on the fridge and toasting a beer around a pair of our favorite lures. This year the wife laid out one of the huge rattle traps and I paid omage to one of the few looney's that made it home last fall.
I am sure small gestures like this are happening all over the country, each in there own way.
Thanks for letting us share your world for a few weeks every year.
For the friends I have made on this forum - hope to see y'all sometime between April 28 - May 13. Hopefully some of us out of town folks can meet up at the pier, or the surf - or even a trip to the bar if the reds are in town.Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

Started planning my trips for this year. Made it to paradise 4 times last year, hope to do as well this year. It's our 25th this year so the wife gets to choose one trip. Time to pull out the trombone case which works well as a rod and tackle box for plane trips.

An upside down hump for right now is that average nighttime temps have bottomed out. Water temps are still declining a bit, but it is about time for them to bottom. Probably after the cold front forecast for mid Feb.
Spring is not far away.People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
