newbie
Newbie here!
My 7 year old son is dying to take his pole to the beach to fish this coming up weekend. I am completley clueless how to fish at the beach. Any suggestions for us? will only be wanting to fish for fun.. not looking to keep fish.
Thanks

What kind of pole does he have? If it's big enough for a 1 ounce weight just use a Carolina rig: Carolina rig - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and bait it with shrimp or squid. If not, go to the pier, buy a ribbon rig and catch some LYs, AKA scaled sardine.
There is a ton of great info on here, read up!

Thanks for signing up and posting your question!
Stop by J & M and pick up a few sabikis and a bait ribbon, then bring him the end of the pier and let him help keep everybody supplied with live bait. There was a little fella out there the other day and he was really doing a bang up job.
After he left, people started asking; where the heck did the baitboy go?

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
