New Sheriff In Town
Just got back home from the cabin in the Northwoods and my first stop, before groceries, was the pier, to get my annual pass. Got there about 4pm and not much action going on with the murkier water.
Did have the opportunity to meet the new pier manager that replaced Lynn. I didn't know Lynn was gone! Seems like a down to earth fellow. I can't remember his name at the moment but, I hope he's around a little more often. Should really get his feet wet next week during the shrimp festival.
I've really missed everyone. See ya'll soon.
Good fishing...

Thanks for the kind words Mr. Wire.
jaredpendley; I'm not the pro pier fisherman like others here, but yes, I'm always willing to share my catch and what little knowledge I do have. See ya soon.

Thanks guys !!! I grew up on a bass boat with my dad fishing BASS tourneys and love it but ever since my dads best buddy, Don McPherson, moved here 20 yrs ago and started chartering out of OB I've dreamed of nothing but running my own charter. I've gotten the 1st part of moving my family here accomplished. So now I've gotta learn all the tools. A lot there seem to be many. I saw you Sunday DAN S II and meant to speak but the new line on one of reels refused to quit twisting and I had a heck of nest. I'll definitely keep reaching out... Fishn time, I'd love to know what was working on the slots and that bull you caught today... Thanks again guys and thanks to Stephen on tips for fishing tips at west pass

Small pieces of cut bait on the bottom worked for slot reds half way to the "T" and the bull red was on a gotcha, silver with an orange head, of all things. If the reds are there, they'll hit most anything you get in front of them.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
