New at the pier fishing game.
My name is Evan. I'm relatively new to the pier fishing game. I've been to the Okaloosa pier and the GSSP pier 1x each. caught some spanish and hartails. I know its kinda late for Pompano right?, but what are some tips i can use to catch something new? I'll be arriving 0300 on 7/20.
I have appropriate tackle for anything from white trout to shark.
I just want to know what may be biting and what im going to need to attempt to catch it.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I don't have much expert advice for you, but if you go under Q&A Gulf Shores State Pier Fishing forum there have been several posts in just the past week on this very topic. Also look at the "tips and tricks" thread, lots of good info in there.

+1 on the 0300 arrival! It gets mighty hot on the pier this time of year!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
