Rockinchef88 that's a sweet ride.I have the same yak and wanted to put motor on it but bought a boat instead. It is stable and you have a dry ride. When the gulf gets rough and you are out off shore some you will know what you got the right kayak.
My problem is my wife wants me to sell my kayak I will probably post it for sale soon I want 1000 for it but for now I'm telling the wife it's not selling.
Got a sundance 17 foot bay boat with 90 hp Yamaha that my friend had and he has heart problems and sold it to me for 4000 with only 12 hours on her.He wouldnt cash the check I made out to him.I finally had to call him and give him the riot act for him to cash it out.Im from Huntsville and get down a lot.I got a house on mobile bay and take the kayak and boat out when I can.
Best of luck and want to see the yak after you got it rigged up.
take care. Tom

I have had 3 malibus over the past 15 years all have been x-factors and now Stealth 14 I love this boat and you cannot beat it off shore. As big as it is it still will move aloga at a good clip. I have fished up to 3 miles off shore out of Destin in mine. Great boat

Good to hear some local reviews. Helps solidify my purchase. The built in bait tank really sold it for me. Can't believe the among of storage and payload options I have with it. I will eventually install a trolling motor on it down the road hopefully.

Look long and hard at the trolling motor. Powered it may have to have tag. It is also a lot of trouble to fool with.

I know I will have to register it if I put a trolling motor on it. But that will be down the road if I do it.

There is a company called Bassyaks that builds a custom Minn Kota trolling motor with mount that I plan to go with. Love their design they have going. But I have heard it is a pain in the a$$ to get registered.

Sorry for the delay but had to reroof my house for 4 1/2 days after receiving my kayak then had to go back to work so I have been installing what I can when I can. Finally finished today and was going to take it on its maiden voyage this afternoon but ended up being a little to blustery to make it enjoyable. But here are the pics. Battery box just inside the Gator Hatch to run the fish finder and bait pump. Lowrance Elite 3X fish finder. Plumbed built in bait tank with adjustable spray nosel and bulkhead drain. Crack Of Dawn Spider Angler Seat with attached rod holders, gear bag, and cup holder(high backed as well for great all day comfort). Yak gear trolley anchor system(pulley style for smoothness and ease of use) with Yak Gear Bruce style anchor. And lastly a Scotty Sea Light for nighttime safety. Can't wait to take her out for a spin!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
