New to the fourms/ need advice

Hey y'all, I'm from Calhoun county so I don't get to fish the salt as much as I'd like to. Last year and the year before that I was able to fish the gulf from my kayak quiet a bit. I typically target reds and specs in little lagoon with water temps lower than the 80's. I love to catch schooling blues, Spanish, and lady fish. I don't keep my saltwater fish so the lady fish are like my light tackle tarpon lol. I've had a three day trip down there once where I spent more time fighting and unhooking blues, Spanish, and lady fish than I did casting. I've had trips where we caught lots of specks. But I always seem to have trouble during the week of the 4th catching anything other than sun. I really need y'alls advice for this years week of the 4th lol it'll probably be my last trip down there for a long time. What can I be expecting? Should I try my luck in little lagoon with the morning and afternoon bite? Should I paddle the beaches looking for schooling fish? Do I need to troll for kings way off the second sand or try trolling closer to it? Should I be fishing pot holes in peridedo bay? Should I try the jetties/outlet? Maybe try artificial reefs? Fish the inlet/outlet down at fort Morgan? Maybe the shallows in the bay? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to make this week of the 4th trip a first for being successful for fish!

IF I WAS DOING WHAT YOU ARE I WOULD TARGET THE SCHOOLS OF BAITFISH IF IT IS CALM ENOUGH! ONE POLE RIGGED FOR SPANISH AND BLUES -MY PERSONAL FAVORITE IS BUBBLE WITH A RED STRAW AND ONE POLE RIGGED FOR A KING OBVIOUSLY WITH LITER AND MAYBE A CIG UNLESSS YOU COULD GET A LIVE BAIT-GOOD LUCK

Thanks! I hope I can find some schools of blues and Spanish lol my favorite for them are mirror lures. Specifically the MR17 I believe. But I'm sure if we find some bait schools we'll produce something! Has anyone been seeing the schools on the bay side of peridido pass? Worst comes to worst we'll catch sharks off the second sand bar on king rigs lol
