New to the Forum and enjoy the heck out of it!
Grew up in Cottondale, AL and I have been visiting Gulf Shores and the immediate area for well over 50 years now. We are finally kicking off our long standing plan to end up there in the golden years. In the meantime reading your posts every morning sure makes it feel like I am there already! I have "fished" there a few times but to call it fishing is probably a joke, considering I had (have) no idea what I was doing. By listening and learning from you all on here I fully expect to become a professional before my first visit to the pier! (yes I hear you giggling...i did too). Seriously, I do appreciate the valuable info and humor and wit you bring to the forum. Keep it up!
If I am following the posts correctly you are having a picnic on Saturday, have a great time!
Pat

Hey RatRyan, Glad to hear your making the move. I moved 1 1/2 years ago and now living in "paradise" and loving it. They used to call me a "Yankee", but now , a "damn yankee".
If you see any of us on the pier, don't hesitate to ask questions. We've all been through it at one time or another and are more than willing to help out. Welcome friend.
good fishing...

Thanx fishntime and others! Just starting the process, the lil woman is finally accepting the concept of selling the house (been there a LONG time) and moving further south. She loves the GS/OB area as much as I do but it'shard to pry her out of her home so full of many years and memories!
We'll get there soon enuff, dont catch'em all, leave a few for us!
good luck
Pat
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
