    New Fishbites

Look out Pompano, there's a new flavor in town. Do you have them yet, J&M?

I've read where people mention this stuff but never knew what it actually was. Does it help?

Yes, I've had pretty good luck with them since I've been using them the last couple years.

What do you do with it? I've heard of tipping bait or lures, but will it hurt the action of, lets just say, a pompano jig?

I've only put it on a Pompano rig in lieu of bait. I haven't tried tipping a jig with it yet.

Basically it is a stink bait formed on a cheesecloth strip. It is a lot less messier than Gulp. Truth be known the two tone white orange color would account for more pompano strikes than the scent. The scent or taste may contribute to a pomp holding on to it long enough to set the hook though, I just don't know for certain.

We caught the heck out of the spadefish on the white and pink last year. Everything from bream size up to dinner-plates.
Never had a chance to try it on whiting or pompano.
I be sheepshead would hit it when they get into a chew-down mood.

Cannot speak to the sandflea, but the shrimp is deadly. Whiting/pompano both, pink/orange preferred, but squid works also.
