Need Advice
First time poster so I apologize if I missed this answer elsewhere. I'm heading down tomorrow. I've fished the Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan area many times but never this time of year. I saw on some other posts that people have been catching Spanish. I just wanted to see what else y'all have been catching recently. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I imagine after 4 days of screaming south winds and then 3-4" of rain overnight, the water is gonna be muddy. Catfish might be all that bites. But if things clear up quickly, whiting and pompano will show back up.

Friday afternoon and the first half of Saturday(the water got cloudy after 2pm ish) they were being caught on gotchas, small spoons, dead cigar minnows and small live LY. I managed a few on a big spoon with green reflective tape. Several people were throwing plugs and looneys but I didn't see any caught on them.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Down here we call em cocahoes. Some of Louisiana's favorite bait.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
