My little girls's first fishing trip...
I haven't been on here in a good while...work just doesn't allow me the time these days and I will have a son in June. A pregnant wife will keep a man busy all 9 months with "honey do's" if he's not careful
.
That being said, I had a chance to run by the pier last Sunday for a few hours. The bite was non-existant in the shallows, save this one flatty that made an appearence. She's still learning obviously but holding the rod and feeling the fight for a few seconds is a big step.
The smile on my 3 year old's face was worth the money, the time, and the whole trip.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea..."

Fantastic!
Luv seeing that expression on a newly 'hooked' angler's face ;-)
Well done!
You may be 'paying dues' now but will likely reap a rich harvest on many such days in the future...(RETIRED) mostly.

That is great. My kids are now 32, 30 and 28. We all still vacation together down there, one of the main reasons is to fish the pier. I got them hooked when they we very young on the old pier. These days will be great memories for you.

I love seeing our future anglers with huge smiles!

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
