You can't throw a net from the sea wall, can you? I thought they blocked that off too. USA if you know somewhere I can throw my net, I will give you all the mullet you want

USA,
I usually get all I want in Pcola at Joe Patties if you ever get over that way.
Probone,
There's plenty of seawall left, just not in the parking lot. Walk south of the Gulf building and there's plenty of room. I also saw mullet caught by cast net at little lagoon pass, just not in great numbers.

Buy a cheap 4' radius net and use this method to throw it. John G told me to use a 4' 1/4" mesh. That's what I bought and this is how I throw it. EASY.....
Dance naked my friends, life is short.

Danny; I was a grown man before I ever used a rod and reel. For the first 20 years, my dad, brother and I waded with a castnet for mullet and the occasional stingray, croaker or flounder. I've seen many different ways to throw a castnet. I learned from net fisherman. A man your size can easily handle s 6 or 8 foot net. In reality, the bigger the easier it is to throw in my humble opinion. I take half the lead linr in one hand and lift the middle to my teeth. And cast away. It'll come to ya.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
