At the point there are 2 areas that I like to fish, one is the bar itself, you can tell where that is the convergence of Mobile Bay and the Gulf. The other is casting out towards the red bouy. But that is fishing for reds and sharks. For other fish, I like to try the pilings right outside the bar, then walk towards the point. Or start at no name road and go towards the point. Good luck

Is the “no name” road open for parking, without getting towed? I’ve seen a few cars there while headed to the the fort, looks to be a broken up road and not real maintained Sorry to hijack the thread

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

I have a lot to learn about surf fishing but I like the challenge and new things to learn. Even an old dog can learn new tricks.

It's a very nice parking area now, very convenient, if you don't mind the drive out. I always find Mobile St. crowded.

Thanx for that link Pier#, that was very interesting. I never used the place before they fixed it up, I was just sure it HAD to be an illegal parking area.

I’ve been by there many times in 35 years of visiting the area. I kinda thought it was a park at your own risk area. Thankyou for the responses
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
