Thread: Mobile Boat Show Mar 9-11

In case anyone is interested or might be going, I will be doing one of the ACFA fishing seminars at the Mobile Boat Show this Sunday (March 11) at noon.
The theme will be "NO Boat = NO Problem" Pier and shore angling opportunities, tips and tactics. Hope to see ya there!

It's hard to recognize him without his signature hat, but that really is David Thorton aka Pier#r displaying a LY ribbon.

The turnout was small and I would contribute that to lack of knowledge that the seminar was even taking place. I knew beforehand that it was on slate from this thread, but wouldn't have had a clue if I had just came in of the street. The boat show folks could have printed up some flyers listing the seminars which were available to their paying guests and made a PA announcement that the seminar was about to take place. I digress.

The small group benefited the seminar in that everyone in attendance was able to have a chance to interact and ask specific questions regarding pier fishing and shorebound fishing in general. David did a fine job in his presentation and I think those in attendance were able to pick up on some valuable tips. I'm glad I was able to attend and would like to give kudos to not just David but everyone at the AFCA for putting on seminars throughout the day. I also sat in on the kayak fishing seminar and ran into Peaches sitting in on that one also.

Wish someone could have taped it with their phone, I am sure David did a great job,

I bet he killed it! Time to get on the speaking Circuit.
