    Re: mid july

Welcome to the forum "stik" :headbang:
Mid July is usually pretty HOT with a decent chance of showers or thunderstorms.
There should be a good chance at tarpon from the pier, along with king & spanish mackerel, bluefish, LOTS of ladyfish and blue runner.

In the surf there will be whiting, but they are usually small in the summer.
But there will be lots of bluefish, ladyfish, bluerunners and maybe even a few pompano to play with.
Also a chance for specks in the surf and near the passes.
If you wade fish, watch out for stingrays and sea nettles!

    Hope this helps!

    cork is never good...
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Was going to come down today or tomorrow. But I think I'll wait a week when all the 420 crowd has drifted away on the wind
    Screw it. Let's ride.

Night fishing will be mostly sharks.
Dawn and dusk are often good times using lures for spanish, blues and jacks in the surf or from the pier.
Come out early on the pier til you can't stand the heat, take a break and come back in the early afternoon when the seabreeze kicks in!
